A Sirius XM Director Returns To Broadcast Radio With iHeartMedia

Introducing the new VP of Sales for the San Francisco-Oakland market for iHeartMedia. And, he’s returning to broadcast radio after more than 13 years.

Alan Hirschbein is taking the role, putting him in a key position at one of the publicly traded company’s most important markets. He reports to iHeartMedia San Francisco Region President AJ Punjabi, and will direct the revenue generation efforts of KIOI-FM “Star 101.3,” KISQ-FM “98.1 The Breeze,” KYLD-FM “Wild 94.9,” KMEL-FM 106.1, KOSF-FM “Classic Hits 103.7,” BIN: Black Information Network affiliate KKSF-AM 910, and Sports KNEW-AM 960.

Hirschbein joins iHeartMedia at a time when he’s served as a contract Sales and Partnerships Director for San Francisco-based Impressions.FM since August 2024. Until February 2024, he had been Senior Sales Director for Revenue Partnerships at Sirius XM, taking a post within the organization following its acquisition of Pandora. There, he was Sales Director and Head of Industry for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses, rising from a Northern California regional director.

He joined Pandora in August 2011, concluding his first career in radio sales. From February 2009 until taking that post, Hirschbein was a Senior Account Executive at former top Talker KGO-AM 810 in San Francisco. From August 2003-August 2007, he was a Senior AE at then-Inner City Broadcasting owned KBLX-FM, the market’s heritage Adult R&B station.
