The portfolio is comprised of the iHeartSports Network, which provides customized local, regional and national sports content and updates across more than 500 stations; the Fox Sports Network; and some 80 Sports Talk station in the iHeartRadio family. There’s also the iHeartPodcast Network.
All are now under the leadership of Division President and President of the L.A. Region for iHeartMedia, who will be giving up his Southland duties to a radio industry newbie.
Effective immediately, the top sports role at iHeartMedia belongs to Kevin LeGrett.
He reports to Greg Ashlock, CEO of the Multi-Platform Group for iHeartMedia. “Kevin’s experience in broadcast, digital, experiential, podcast and sports in both national and local roles have prepared him to excel in this position and build on the momentum and unique scale and assets of iHeart,” Ashlock said.
LeGrett commented that he’s excited “to harness the power of iHeartMedia Sports for clients, partners, and our local markets while expanding our offerings and leading position throughout the sports industry, building on our unique position in both audio and sports.”
LeGrett has risen through the leadership ranks at iHeartMedia since joining the company in 2010. He served as Division President and Executive Vice President of Operations for the iHeartMedia Markets Group overseeing Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Diego, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Washington, D.C., and with responsibility for the political strategy for the company, before rising to his most recent post.
A RADIO NEWBIE TO LEAD L.A.
With LeGrett’s promotion, Alexis Ginas has been named President of the iHeartMedia Los Angeles Region.
She’ll report to LeGrett, who will retain his role as Division President of the Markets Group while shedding his market-level duties in Southern California.
The iHeartMedia group of stations in Los Angeles includes such storied FM as Top 40 KIIS, Adult Contemporary KOST, Modern Rock KYSR “ALT 98.7,” Hot Adult Contemporary KBIG “My FM 104.3,” and Contemporary R&B KRRL “Real 92.3.” On the AM dial is Talkers KEIB-AM 1150 and KFI-AM 640 and Sports KLAC-570, home of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball club’s play-by-play.
“Her unique skills and broad media and entertainment experience will add a new dimension to our L.A. offerings for both our consumers and clients,” LeGrett said of Ginas.
“Alexis is a fantastic new leader for our Los Angeles team and our entire company,” added Hartley Adkins, President of the iHeartMedia Markets Group. “The breadth of experience she brings from different sectors will be ideal as iHeartMedia, the multiple platform audio leader, continues to evolve to meet the needs of our listeners, clients and the Los Angeles community.”

Who is Alexis Ginas?
Ginas is described as an “Emmy Award-winning media and technology executive with over 20 years of experience” who “sets the vision for complex, large-scale media businesses and has a track record of creating groundbreaking marketing strategies with a lens towards audience expansion and profitability.”
But, has she run a radio group before? Ginas joins iHeartMedia in Los Angeles from Madison Valley, a media and technology consulting practice that she founded focused on revenue strategy and operations.
However, previous roles include that of SVP of Cross Platform Solutions at Fox Sports, VP and Head of Global Brand Solutions at The Match Group, and as SVP of Global Brand Partnerships at SFX Entertainment. Prior to SFX, Ginas held a variety of senior posts at flagship companies including Viacom, Warner Music and Hearst.
That said, Ginas’ new role marks her first in radio — making her appointment noteworthy and rare for a company that owns some of the nation’s top audio broadcast properties.
