HandshakeReiten Television intends to sell several television stations to Nexstar Broadcasting.

Reiten owns and operates KXMC(TV), Minot, N.D. and its satellite stations KXMA(TV), Dickinson, KXMB(TV), Bismarck and KXMD(TV), Williston — all licensed to the Minot-Bismarck-Dickinson-Williston, North Dakota DMA.

The price is $44 million.

Nexstar was to deposit $2,200 with interest into an escrow account; Kalil & Co. is acting as the escrow agent, according to paperwork filed with the FCC.

The balance is to be paid at closing.

Nexstar has applied for a waiver to allow it to continue operation of KXMB and KXMD as satellites of KXMC, as they have since 1955 and 1969, respectively, and for KXMA to continue to operate as a satellite of KXMC, as it has been authorized to since Reiten acquired the television station in 1984.
