He began his career in 2008 and was most recently the sales strategy and team development leader at Nexstar Media Group-owned WOOD-8 in Grand Rapids. Now, he’s taking a top-level sales position at the broadcast TV company controlled by Soohyung Kim’s Standard General.
Now serving as Director of Digital Sales for the Deb McDermott-run Standard Media is Chase Cornelius. In his new role, Cornelius will oversee digital sales efforts across all markets, working closely with both corporate and local teams to drive revenue growth, and develop scalable, future-ready strategies.

Standard Media Group is headquartered in Nashville and operates TV stations in Lincoln, Neb.; Cape Girardeau, Mo.-Paducah, Ky.; and Providence, R.I.
Cornelius’s resume includes roles in sales at television stations in markets such as San Luis Obispo, Calif.; and Dayton-Springfield, Ohio.
