A Matter Of Trusts

In the lone deal up for discussion in RBR+TVBR’s TRANSACTIONS TODAY, an FM translator with a full city-grade signal serving an area of the Florida Panhandle is being traded from one trust to another trust.

In this deal, dated August 11 and filed with the Commission on Monday (9/4), Timothy James McEvoy Trust is selling W222BR at 92.3 MHz in Pensacola, Fla., to The David Earl Hoxeng Evocable Trust.

The deal’s value is $60,750, payable in full at closing.

A Form 346 filing has been made reflecting a modification of the station.

The buyer is represented by Dan J. Alpert, Esq.

The translator’s purchase is being done by the owner of the station that W222BR rebroadcasts; the trust is the licensee of ADX Communications of Pensacola’s WNRP-AM 1620. ADX was formed in 2001 and until now has been comprised of “NewsRadio 1620 & 92.3” WNRP-AM and “Cat Country” WYCT-FM 98.7 in Pensacola, Fla.

ADX grew in April 2018, when it agreed to purchase WEBY-AM 1330, licensed to Milton, Fla., and FM translator W256DL, a presently silent facility at 99.1 MHz in Milton, from the Michael Bates-led Spinnaker Communications Corp.
