A Mammoth Translator Trade Is Complete

With five watts of broadcast power, an FM translator at 7,835 feet above sea level serves a community due east of a popular Golden State ski resort.

Here, this translator is trading hands, from one individual to another.

The facility is K285CP at 104.9 MHz in Mammoth Lakes, Calif., in the Sierra Nevada of California.

Greg Bowles is the seller. The buyer is Gary Robinson.

A $1,000 deposit has been made to Bowles.

Terms then call for a $1,600 payment to Steve Register.

The remainder goes to Charles Contreras.

Robinson is based in Victor, Montana, while Bowles and Contreras are based in Greater Los Angeles.

With this translator, Robinson now owns two, as he is also the licensee of K288DL at 105.5 MHz in Big Pine, Calif. It is a rebroadcast partner of KMMT-FM 106.5 in Mammoth.
