A Class A broadcast television station serving an area of Northwest Louisiana and portions of the Lone Star State is poised to become the latest property to be licensed to HC2 Broadcasting, a licensee of LPTV properties intent on getting voluntary adoption of 5G Broadcast services to the finish line at the FCC.
HC2 Station Group Inc. is the buyer listed in an asset purchase agreement dated September 15 that has just been submitted to the Commission for its approval.

With the OK from the FCC, HC2 would become the owner of KADO-CD in Shreveport, La., with a deal to purchase the station from Word of Life Ministries finalized.
A $350,000 purchase price has been finalized, with a 10% downpayment being held by the seller’s representatives.
Serving as HC2’s broker of record is Greg Guy of Tideline Partners LLC.
Word of God Ministries’ legal representative is A. Wray Fitch III of Gammon & Grange. HC2’s legal counsel is Wilkinson Barker Knauer’s David O’Connor.
