His Word Broadcasting has given its word that it will move forward with the sale of a low-powered television station licensed to Eugene, Ore.
The buyer is also acquiring a TV translator, from a different seller — one that wants the station HWB is spinning.
KHWB-LD in Eugene is being spun to Channel 18 LLC, which is led by Lloyd Williams.
For $20,000, it is getting the station and its assets located in Springfield, Ore.
An additional consideration will allow HWB, however, to lease a digital multicast channel on KHWB at no charge for the next 20 years, effective on the closing date.
Williams’ Channel 18 LLC is concurrently acquiring K18LR-D in Cottage Grove, Ore., from South Lane Television.
The goal: to relocate the TV translator to Blanton Heights, south of Eugene, and to then spin KHWB to South Lane Television once it is relocated to Hansen Butte.
When all is said and done, pending FCC approval, KHWB will fall under the control of Ron Lane‘s group,
