LOUISVILLE, KY. — Viewers of the local CBS affiliate, owned by Hearst Television, now have the option of watching an additional hour of local news in the morning.

As of September 7, a 60-minute 9am newscast will air on the station.

Morning anchors Julie Dolan and Caray Grace will helm the new newscast for WLKY-32 in Louisville.

The station presently airs local news from 4:30am-7am, when CBS This Morning begins its two-hour block.

Meteorologist Matt Milosevich will be joined by WLKY “morning regulars” Susanne Horgan and Mo Rose.

“This is an opportunity for WLKY to expand our commitment to providing urgent, live, local, late breaking information,” said WLKY President/GM Glenn Haygood. “As the demand for local news and information has increased recently, we are excited to provide another hour of morning news at 9am.”

WLKY News Director Andrea Stahlman added, “This time of the morning is a strong opportunity for us to keep our viewers even better informed. I’m excited
for a new group of viewers to get know our morning team. They really enjoy working together and take a lot of pride in serving this community. This gives us the chance to be
in position when news breaks, and also spend more time connecting with our viewers.”

Meanwhile, WLKY’s afternoon lineup will shift as the final season of Ellen will air at 3pm, starting Sept. 13.
