A ‘Cool’ New Deal For Colorado Licensee

Two years and five months after Tom Dobrez agreed to sell a Class C2 FM in Avon, Colo., and a Class C1 FM in Vail, Colo., the operator of CoolRadioStreaming.com in February 2020 moved forward with the sale of his remaining facility.

Then came the COVID-19 pandemic. That deal never closed. Now, Dobrez has a new buyer lined up for Cool Radio LLC‘s last FM.

With Dick Kozacko of Kozacko Media Services again serving as the seller’s broker, Cool Radio is selling Class A 6kw Classic Hits KSNO-FM 103.9 in Snowmass Village, Colo.

This time, the buyer is Wild Goose LLC, a locally based entity headed by Andrew Scott.

He’s agreed to pay $250,000 for KSNO, and that’s good news for Dobrez. The failed 2020 deal was written up for $225,000, with Rocky Mountain Radio Group LLC getting the property.

It appears the pandemic’s economic strain put the kibosh on that arrangement, with KSNO now going to Scott, the Executive Director of the Open Mind Project, described as an interdisciplinary and inter-faith resource organization.

KSNO is a 6kw Class A.
