Four FM radio stations and two FM translators serving communities in New Hampshire and Vermont are poised to see an ownership change, pending regulatory approval from the FCC. When complete, Great Eastern Radio will no longer have these stations in its New England-centric stable.
The transaction sees the following stations being sold to Keene, N.H.-based Community Media LLC:
| Call Sign | Facility ID | File Number | Service | City, State |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WKKN | 46334 | 0000295681 | FM | WESTMINSTER, VT |
| W293AB | 17796 | 0000295682 | FX | KEENE, NH |
| WEEY | 4910 | 0000295683 | FM | SWANZEY, NH |
| WTHK | 57728 | 0000295684 | FM | WILMINGTON, VT |

| WFYX | 23307 | 0000295686 | FM | WALPOLE, NH |
An $850,000 price tag has been agreed upon by the parties, with a $100,000 deposit made ahead of a cash payment of the remaining amount at closing.
That will mark a shift in control from the company led by Jeffrey Shapiro to that of Jared Goodell.
Serving as Great Eastern’s legal counsel is David G. O’Neil of Rini O’Neil; the buyer’s legal counsel is Gregg Skall of Telecommunications Law Professionals PLLC.
