A Comet Arrives At Apple TV and Roku

Comet TV, the digital multicast science fiction and horror network launched in late 2015 through a joint partnership between Sinclair Television Group and MGM, can now be viewed by way of a brand-new app for Apple TV and Roku.

Rather than getting on-demand access to such programming as the Stargate sci-fi franchise, Apple TV and Roku viewers will only get the live, 24/7 broadcast feed as seen on DT stations across the U.S.

In an announcement on the Comet website, Sinclair and MGM said, “Our new apps will include live playback of our regular broadcast, but with the added benefit of having integrated program and scheduling information all at the touch of a button. That means you’ll be able to plan out hours of sci-fi movie viewing, all while you’re sitting back watching your favorite episodes of Stargate or Poltergeist. “

COMET will be coming to more digital platforms in the near future, the companies said.
