A Change Of Owners For An Ohio Religious Non-Comm

A once-“refreshing” non-secular Class A FM serving Lancaster, Ohio is about to get a new owner.

It’s a Buckeye State entity that will be gaining its fourth FM station, once this deal closes.

For $235,000, WFCO-FM 90.9 in Lancaster is being traded to River Radio Ministries from Lancaster Educational Broadcasting Foundation.

A 10% deposit is being held in escrow with David O’Neil of Rini O’Neil PC.

The remainder will be paid in cash at closing.

Serving as the broker in this transaction is Wood and Company.

WFCO is now a member of the River Radio network of stations comprised of WCVO-FM in Gahanna, WZCP-FM in Chillicothe, and WZNP-FM in Newark, Ohio.

It was presently branded as “Refreshing 90.9.” In a statement on its now-defunct website, WFCO’s former management said, “After 31 years of connecting you with your community Refreshing 90.9 FM has signed off the airwaves. We truly thank you the listeners and supporters of community Christian radio for partnering with us and supporting our Christ-Centered, Community-Focused mission all these years. We welcome the new 90.9 the River to Lancaster and Fairfield County. It is our hope that you will continue to listen to and support Community Christian radio through their Uplifting and Encouraging mission.”
