Video streaming technology provider Bitmovin today has appointed a Co-Chief Executive Officer who will work alongside CEO and co-founder Stefan Lederer.

The new leadership structure “is designed to support Bitmovin’s continued global growth, deepen customer and partner relationships, and accelerate innovation across its video streaming platform.”

Under the new model, Ian Baglow will lead Bitmovin’s day-to-day operations and commercial execution, working closely with customers and partners worldwide.

Lederer will continue to focus on long-term strategy, market evolution, and the next generation of Bitmovin’s technology portfolio, the company said.

The Co-CEO appointment comes at what Bitmovin terms “a pivotal moment for the company as demand for high-quality, scalable video streaming infrastructure continues to grow across media, entertainment, and service provider markets.”

It’s a promotion for Baglow, who joined Bitmovin in 2021 as Chief Revenue Officer. In 2024, his responsibilities expanded when he was appointed President, Chief Revenue and Operations Officer, overseeing both commercial strategy and operational execution.
“With this promotion, Baglow brings deep operational leadership to the Co-CEO role, supporting Bitmovin’s evolution from high-growth scale-up to a mature, global video technology leader,” Bitmovin said.

Prior to joining Bitmovin, Baglow held senior executive positions at BAE Systems and SilverSky.
