The nation’s largest single owner of broadcast TV stations, even without its ownership of TEGNA, has declared a cash dividend for the third quarter of 2026. The news from Nexstar Media Group comes ahead of the company’s Thursday release of its fiscal results for the three-month period ending September 30.
The Irving, Tex.-headquartered company’s Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $1.86 per share of its common stock. The dividend is payable on Friday, November 27, to shareholders of record on Friday, November 13.
The cash bonus to shareholders of Nasdaq-traded Nexstar stock comes as the company’s stock is presently trading just under $180 per share. That reflects an 8.4% decline from one year ago and pricing above $250 per share seen in early March 2026.
But, for long-term investors, pricing today of “NXST” equals that seen in 2025’s best days.
What can shareholders expect to hear from CFO Lee Ann Gliha and CEO Perry Sook on November 5, when Nexstar’s Q3 2026 earnings report is released? Seven analysts reporting to Yahoo! Finance chimed in with revenue estimates, putting the consensus estimate at $2.07 billion (when factoring in TEGNA and political dollars).
One analyst offered an earnings per share prediction, and that came in at $11.87.
