He’s the licensee of such properties as a VHF low-power TV facility serving the Coachella Valley of California. Soon, pending FCC approval, that station will be in the hands of a new owner.
KGBY-LD, with a PSIP of Channel 11, in Palm Springs, Calif.,, is being sold by Jeff Chang-led to New Line Media Communications LLC.
That’s a Reno, Nev.-based entity led by Gus Luzania offering services in technology advisory for broadcast media.
With Kathleen Victory of Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth serving as legal counsel, a Form 314 filing indicates New Line will pay Chang $5,000 for the LPTV property. A $1,000 deposit has been made to Chang.
There’s more: An Airtime Agreement will allow Chang to use a digital subchannel tied to Luzania’s K12YB-D in Modesto, Calif., for 24 months on a 24/7 basis.
Additionally, Chang will be able to use a digital subchannel on KGBY-LD for his programming needs for 24 months, on a 24/7 basis, too.
Equipment exchanged in this transaction includes a BE BETV-DTV transmitter.
