In recent weeks, low-power television station licensee HC2 Broadcasting has emerged as one of the biggest champions of 5G Broadcast technology. In August, key company executives met with members of FCC Chairman Brendan Carr’s staff to discuss potential authorization of permissive use of 5G Broadcast as a transmission standard for low-power television stations.
Now, the first station linked to New England-based experimental 5G Broadcast tests is being acquired by the company.
