CAMARILLO, CALIF. — With the privatization of Salem Media, completed on August 20, former Chief Financial Officer Evan Masyr accepted the new role of CFO at K-LOVE, where he begins his new duties on September 14.

Now, WaterStone-held Salem has promoted from within in a move to bolster its finance and accounting department.

Autumn Marcus has been named Sr. VP of Finance and Strategic Planning, while Monica Montijo has been appointed Sr. VP/Controller and Accounting.

They report to Salem Media CEO Dave Santrella, who said, “Salem is entering an important new chapter, and Autumn and Monica will be key members of the leadership team helping us shape it. They know Salem and our businesses extremely well, and I have tremendous confidence in both of them and the teams they lead.”

Marcus has served as Salem’s SVP/Finance and takes an expanded role in which she will oversee financial planning and work closely with Salem’s leadership to align the company’s financial performance with its strategic and operational priorities.

Montijo, previously Salem’s Controller, will assume expanded leadership responsibility across Salem’s accounting organization.

“We want our finance and accounting teams to be strong partners with our operating leaders and help us make better decisions across the business,” Santrella added. “Autumn and Monica have the experience and knowledge of Salem to do exactly that.”
