MaxxKonnect has brought to market a modular software suite that it says “provides a clear, continuous picture” of critical program audio, online streams and over-the-air signals.
The first official product released under the MonitorMaxx banner, StationGuard gives engineering and programming personnel an at-a-glance view of the signals that keep a station on the air and online.
“When something goes wrong, StationGuard helps the right people recognize and respond to the problem before it becomes a prolonged outage,” the company led by Josh Bohn says. “Each StationGuard module can notify personnel by email or phone when trouble arises and can generate SNMP alerts for integration with existing monitoring systems. The PC based software can be accessed anywhere within your network via a browser-based HTML5 GUI.”
The suite consists of three modules:
- SilenceGuard: Continuously monitors program audio for silence or sustained low levels, providing immediate alerts and maintaining audio logs for troubleshooting.
- StreamHound: Monitors online streams for connection status and program audio, alerting personnel when a stream disconnects, stops playing or goes silent.
- TunerGuard: Monitors off-air AM, FM, HD Radio and weather-band signals through compatible tuner hardware, confirming that programming is reaching the air and alerting personnel when problems occur.*
Together, the modules They provide the information needed to determine what happened, when it happened and how long the problem lasted.
A built-in universal audio logger can record any available source across the StationGuard suite with recordings accessible via web browser. Users are able to select only the audio they need.
