BOCA RATON, FLA. — The Florida Association of Broadcasters has a new President/CEO, and succeeds longtime leader Pat Roberts, who announced his retirement in 2025 and will now serve as President Emeritus.

Taking the FAB’s top chair is Heather Lomagistro, who rises from FAB’s EVP/Chief Operating Officer. She intends to honor Roberts’ legacy while strengthening how the association operates.“FAB is strong because of its people — the best Executive Committee, Board, and staff anywhere,” Lomagistro said. “My focus is on protecting what makes us special, sharpening how we operate, and making sure we are ready for whatever the future of broadcasting brings — with Florida’s broadcasters at the center of everything we do. “Pat leaves a legacy few in any industry will ever match. He has been the steady, fierce voice for Florida’s broadcasters, and he built something that will outlast us all.”

Immediate Past Chairman Lara Kunkler added, “Heather has a unique skill set that you don’t see very often. She flawlessly determines and executes the millions of details that need addressing while clearly keeping the big picture the focus. FAB is fortunate to have the ideal leader in Heather to drive this organization forward.”
