NEW YORK — Key editorial and creative leadership roles across NPR spoken word station WNYC-AM & FM; Classical WQXR; news-focused online brand Gothamist; and WNYC Studios have been finalized by New York Public Radio (NYPR) President/CEO Christy Tanner.

Emily Botein has been named Head of WNYC Studios, overseeing the national shows, programming and the podcast arm of the organization as well as live events at The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space, NYPR’s live event and broadcast venue.

Over the course of 20 years at WNYC, Botein has served as a key editorial and organizational leader, launching and overseeing award-winning shows and series such as “Blindspot,” “More Perfect,” “Dead End: A New Jersey Political Murder Mystery,” “The New Yorker Radio Hour” and “Death, Sex & Money.”

At the same time, Stephanie Clary has been named Editor-in-Chief of the WNYC and Gothamist newsroom and live radio teams, which includes reporters, editors, producers and visual storytellers who oversee local and national news coverage on politics, transit, housing and culture, among other topics. Clary joined NYPR in 2021 as Deputy Editor.

Eileen Delahunty has been named Head of WQXR, overseeing the station.

She also serves as executive producer for live broadcasts from partner venues, including Lincoln Center, Trinity Church, the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park and NJPAC. She also has produced events from The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space, which has featured artists including Lang Lang, Beatrice Rana and Joshua Bell.

“Stephanie, Emily and Eileen are exceptional, forward-looking leaders with deep commitment to excellence in journalism, culture and storytelling. As audiences increasingly engage with content across multiple platforms, we’re focused on creating experiences that connect our award-winning newsrooms, podcasts, live events and cultural partnerships,” Tanner said. “I’m excited to see the continued collaboration across NYPR as we strengthen our mission and help shape the future of public media for the next generation.”
