WASHINGTON, D.C. — The new year has brought a new Managing Member to the Lerman Senter law firm.
It sees a successor to a highly respected woman who joined Lerman Senter in the late 1980s and has been a Managing Member since 2017.
On January 1, Jeff Carlisle succeeded Sally Buckman as a Managing Member as it welcomed Steve Berman as a Member of the firm. Berman has more than twenty years of experience in regulatory, licensing, and spectrum policy work for satellite, wireless and telecommunications providers.
Under Buckman’s leadership, Lerman Senter has served as one of the top communications law firms in Washington, D.C.
“I am tremendously proud of what we’ve accomplished at Lerman Senter, and thrilled that Jeff agreed to take on the role of Managing Member,” Buckman said. “I know that Jeff will be an excellent leader, and that the firm’s values of collegiality, professionalism and exceptional client service will remain as strong as they’ve always been.”
What does this mean for Buckman? She’s now a Senior Counsel, and looks forward to continuing to advise clients in the media industry.
Carlisle joined Lerman Senter in 2019, specializing in wireless, wireline and satellite regulatory matters before the FCC and other federal and state agencies, as well as governance advice to non-profits and trade associations. He will be joined on the firm’s Management Committee by Steve Coran, head of the firm’s Broadband, Spectrum, and Communications Infrastructure Practice, and by newly elevated Committee member Rebecca Jacobs Goldman, head of the firm’s Privacy, Data Protection, and Cybersecurity
Practice.
