Rachel Campos-Duffy To Help Launch ‘FOX Noticias’

BOCA RATON, FLA. — From August 2012 through July 2015, MundoFOX served U.S. Hispanic households as a fledgling Spanish-language television broadcast network that sought to appeal to consumers who did not care for the fare on NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises or Univision Communications’ two offerings, TeleFutura and Univisión.

Now, the FOX brand is returning as a non-broadcast TV offering targeting U.S. Latinos. However, this time around the focus is fully on news ahead of a pivotal presidential election.

FOX & Friends Weekend co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy, who 30 years ago first gained fame as a member of the cast of The Real World: San Francisco, will anchor FOX Noticias — an hour-long Spanish-language newscast spotlighting issues impacting the U.S. Hispanic community.

The inaugural broadcast of FOX Noticias is scheduled for 4pm Eastern/1pm Pacific on October 15, and will appear — interestingly — on FOX Deportes, distributed as a Hispanic-tier cable TV network.

It will also be available in podcast form from FOX News Audio; the show will be featured on the FOX Sports App as well as on FOXDeportes.com.

With FOX News Senior Vice President John Sylvester signing off on the program’s debut, FOX News Digital plans to also launch a Spanish-language version of the FOXNews.com website beginning today, which will be machine-translated. The site will feature breaking news reporting and signature commentary for the Hispanic audience which can be found at Noticias.FOXNews.com.

While some may argue that the launch of FOX Noticias just weeks from one of the most divisive U.S. presidential races in recent history is a ploy to bring Republicans more voters, FOX News Media points out that FOX News was the No. 1 cable network with Hispanic viewers on a total day 24-hour basis as well as during prime-time during the third quarter of 2024.

As such, this is a brand extension that perhaps is overdue, given its popularity in Hispanic homes.

Sylvester commented, “As the leading cable news provider among Hispanic viewers with one of the most diverse audiences in cable news, we are proud to deliver new headline-driven content that focuses on the issues impacting the Hispanic community.”

Campos-Duffy added, “I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to host FOX Noticias. As the fastest growing electorate, accounting for nearly 20% of the population, the Hispanic American community is thriving, and I am proud to bring a new show that breaks down the news of the day with a focus on the kitchen table issues that matter most to our community.”

FOX Noticias will spotlight politics, the economy, immigration, and cultural trends as well as offer FOX’s signature right-leaning commentary; the digital version of Fox Noticias will keep Hispanic readers up to speed on breaking and trending news.

The show’s debut week includes an interview with newly elected Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino.

Campos-Duffy is the spouse of FOX Business host Sean Duffy. Together they have authored the New York Times best-seller “All American Christmas” for FOX News Books.
