He most recently led radio stations in Ogallala, Neb., and Sioux City, Iowa for iHeartMedia, departing earlier this month. Now this 48-year square dance caller has been named President/GM of the group of radio stations serving Omaha and Council Bluffs owned by the company led by Carl Parmer.

Taking the top spot for SummitMedia in Omaha is Mike Hogan.

Hogan’s experience includes roles as a Senior AE for iHeartMedia in Omaha, before rising to Market President in the small Nebraska and Iowa markets he’s been associated with for a decade.

“We’re excited to have an executive of Mike’s caliber running our Omaha cluster,” said Parmer, who serves as SummitMedia’s Chairman/CE. “He brings incredible experience, expertise, and leadership to our team.”

Hogan from 1999 to 2008 led sales and managed accounts for Journal Broadcasting.

“The privilege to return to where my radio career began over 30 years ago is quite an honor,” Hogan said. “I look forward to leading the talented team at SummitMedia in Omaha as we develop even stronger relationships with our listeners, clients, and the communities we serve.”

SummitMedia’s Omaha stations are comprised of KSRZ “Star 104.5,” KKCD “Classic Rock 105.9,” KOCH “Channel 94.1,” KEZO “Z-92,” and KXSP-AM 590 “ESPN Omaha.”
