Travel east of Hood River along the Columbia River separating Oregon from Washington, and you’ll reach The Dalles — home to a Classic Country AM with an FM translator.

Pending FCC approval, it will have a second FM translator serving this community.

KODL-AM 1440, a Class D facility, already can be heard on 100.7 MHz by way of K263BT.

Soon, pending FCC approval, owner Larson-Wynn Inc. will have a second FM translator serving The Dalles, as it is agreeing to acquire K256AC at 99.1 MHz from Mater Dei Radio.

A $17,000 purchase price has been agreed upon. Mater Dei has received a $2,500 deposit.

FCC paperwork shows K256AC will rebroadcast KODL.
