An Idaho FM is Heading to CSN

A 74,000-watt FM station with coverage of such cities as Ketchum, Carey, Hailey and Jerome has been serving this portion of Idaho with regional Mexican programming as “La Perrona” — simulcasting a Twin Falls-based FM that does not reach Hailey or Ketchum.

Now, the simulcast that’s been in place since December 13, 2022, is about to end. The station is being sold to a non-commercial religious broadcast ministry.

Lee Family Broadcasting is saying goodbye to KXCD-FM 93.5 in Fairfield, Idaho.

The buyer is CSN International, which is paying $145,000 to take the commercial station to noncomm status. A $75,000 deposit is being made, with Cary Tepper of Tepper Law Firm holding the funds until closing on behalf of CSN.

Lee Family is represented by Scott Johnson of Smithwick & Belendiuk.
