At 5pm Pacific on Monday (1/9), a dire situation was unfolding in the picturesque and tranquil communities dotting central San Luis Obispo County, California. In Avila Beach, an employee and guests were rescued via a boat from a hotel. In Morro Bay, severe flooding and power outages were seen. To the south near Montaña de Oro, a mudslide severely damaged 20 homes.
