Since May 2018, he’d been associated with Townsquare Media — specifically, for a group of stations it had just purchased from Connoisseur Media.

Now, he’s boarding a SEPTA line and taking his Trenton skills, and prior experience in the City of Brotherly Love, to iHeartMedia.

Taking the role of VP/Sales for the company’s Philadelphia stations is Christopher Squire.

It’s a return to Philadelphia for Squire, who served as station manager for WDAS-FM 105.3, today one of the station’s within the iHeartMedia family, from 1989-2000. And, he’d been LSM for Urban One’s stations in Philadelphia, from October 2017 until joining Townsquare for a role as GSM of longtime Top 40 WPST-FM 94.5, Sports WNJE-AM 920 “The Jersey,” a Class B station in Trenton, and Flemington-licensed WCHR-AM 1040, an inspirational station that carries on a format heard originally on the 94.5 MHz facility.

Squire’s resume also includes holding top sales positions at WLIB-AM & WBLS-FM in New York. He began his career at WBMX-FM (now WVAZ-FM) in Chicago.

In his new role, Squire reports to Jeff Moore, Senior VP of Sales for iHeartMedia in Philadelphia.

“I am thrilled to add Chris to our team,” Moore said. “He is someone that I’ve gotten to know over the past few years and have been impressed by his leadership qualities, his ability to build meaningful relationships with client partners and his dedication to helping the people he works with succeed. His positive outlook and enthusiasm are contagious and I can’t wait to continue to build on our team’s success with his help.”

Squire added, “I couldn’t be prouder to have the opportunity to help steer the market-leading brands that are comprised of an incredibly talented group of sales professionals and on-air personalities.”
