Flagstaff Radio Inc. already owns two AMs and four FMs in the Flagstaff-Prescott AZ Nielsen Audio market. It has now filed with the FCC to acquire a fifth FM. But folks on the ground would be hard pressed to notice any difference in the station’s operations. Broker: Kalil & Co. Inc. (seller)
The station is KFSZ-FM, licensed to Munds Park AZ.
The reason it will be hard to notice any major changes is because the buyer has been operating the station in an LMA since March of 2012.
The seller is LKCM Radio Group LP, headed by President Gerry Schlegel.
FRI is buying the station under licensee name Southwest Media Inc. The license companies are owned by Roger G. Anderson and Nancy L. Anderson.
The price is $491,400
KFSZ-FM is a Class C2 on 106.1 MHz with 4.3 kW @ 1,535’. The station covers all of Flagstaff from a locatin to the south of town. It doesn’t do as well getting over Prescott, providing only a fringe signal to that city.
Here, using format and frequency from a BIA market report submitted with the acquisition documents, is a look at the resulting station cluster:
KAFF-FM Flagstaff 92.9 Country
