The FCC often seems to treasure candor above all other things among its broadcast licensees, even if it means ratting one’s own self out when it’s time to apply for a license renewal.
Such was the case for KIFI-TV Idaho Falls ID, licensed to NPG of Idaho Inc.
It failed to get its Children’s Television Programming Reports filed for five of the quarters of a license term, an oversight which cost it a fine of $3,000.
It then compounded the matter by not disclosing it when filing its license renewal application.
Bang: Another $3,000.
At this point the matter is at the Notice of Apparent Liability stage, meaning the station still has a change to file for review.
