African American-focused multimedia company Urban One has given its VP/General Counsel SVP stripes while, at the same time, a new Chief Information Officer.
Getting the promotion is C. Kristopher Simpson. He’s been with Urban One for 12 years and has served as counsel on various acquisitions and divestitures across Urban One’s divisions. He also managed its outside counsel and worked intimately with the company’s investment advisors on various refinancing projects.
Now serving as CIO is Tony Spinelli — a cyberspace technology veteran who will manage all aspects of Urban One’s technology infrastructure.
Most recently, Spinelli led Fractal Industries, a digital startup focused on delivering analytic insights and data science to solve complex technology challenges at scale and real-time through digital concepts and cloud-based delivery. Prior to this role, he served as a Capital One Financial Corporation SVP.
