Griffin Communications has two television stations in Tulsa, and after its deal to acquire MNT KSBI-TV closes, it will also have a pair in Oklahoma City.
The seller of the station is Family Broadcasting LLC. Terms were not released.
The station will pair up with CBS KWTV.
The Tulsa pair is also anchored by a CBS affiliate, KOTV, which is complemented by CW KQCW.
Griffin also operates a pair of news websites associated with its television stations, as well as the Radio Oklahoma Network.
Griffin said is plans for KSBI include integrating it into its existing operation while generally improving it. It will also shift programming to KSBI from the CBS affiliate when it pre-empts regular programming for wall-to-wall coverage of weather emergencies or other events.
