Schumer Asks Wheeler to Resist Killing Exclusivity Rules

U.S. CongressDemocratic Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has asked FCC Chair Tom Wheeler to resist going forward with the plan to end the network non-duplication and syndication exclusivity rules.


The existing rules were passed in the context of a broad, complicated regulator system that closely ties non-duplication and exclusivity to the compulsory license, writes Schumer to the chairman.
