Hearst Re-ups With Nielsen
Hearst Television has renewed its agreement with Nielsen for local television measurement.
The contract covers Hearst’s 30 TV stations and the majority of its digital sub-channels in 26 markets.
The multi-year agreement enables Hearst continued access to Nielsen local market ratings data from several sources and methodologies including local people meter, viewer assignment, code reader and diary markets as well as analysis.
Hearst Television President Jordan Wertlieb calls Nielsen’s investments to improve measurement and offer more depth into consumer trends “encouraging.” The new Total Audience measurement “is a welcomed asset as Hearst Television continues to expand its local content to more platforms and devices.”
