An individual who spent more than a decade in a key engineering role at iHeartMedia has joined GatesAir for a newly created role that sees him overseeing its Intraplex business.

dave-agnewDave Agnew has returned to the Cincinnati-based company to serve as Intraplex Channel Manager, reporting to Director/Intraplex Sales Steve Paulson.

Agnew will be focused on global consumer initiatives and business development in the broadcast market in a role designed to allow GatesAir “to capitalize on emerging global opportunities around audio over IP networking in broadcasting and public safety.

He will also be actively involved in GatesAir’s ongoing business around legacy STL and networking projects.

Agnew has spent the last 11 years with iHeart, most recently as Director/Engineering and IT for the Northern Colorado region. He worked for GatesAir in the 1990s and 2000s, holding such roles as Field Service Engineer, Senior Sales Application Engineer, and Product Manager while GatesAir was part of Harris Corporation.

“Dave intimately understands the specific concerns of broadcasters and our overall customer base when it comes to working with IP and TDM networking solutions, and how to effectively implement and use our products,” Paulson said. “His broad knowledge base and extensive industry experience lends a high level of credibility while communicating with channel partners and end users worldwide, and will greatly enhance our ability to capitalize on both existing and emerging business opportunities.”

In addition to the sale and implementation of Intraplex products worldwide, Dave will work closely with channel partners around global trade show presence and technical presentations, among other key promotional and educational initiatives.

GatesAir provides complete solutions for over-the-air radio and television broadcasting, leveraging wireless spectrum to maximize performance for multichannel, mission-critical services.
