How Tower Sales Can Bring Big Bucks

BergnerConnoisseur Media, headed by Jeff Warshaw, is the latest company to sell some of its broadcast towers.

The owner of radio stations in Connecticut, Kansas, Montana, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania sold a package of towers located in Long Island, New York; Norwalk, Conn., Erie, Pa. and Billings, Mont. to CTI Towers for an undisclosed price.

Bergner & Co.’s Michael J. Bergner, the exclusive broker in this transaction, tells RBR + TVBR that Connoisseur will enjoy rent-free use of the towers, as part of the deal’s terms.

How can other operators in the market for selling their towers do the same?

The answer may be as simple as these two words: “cell income.”
