The nation’s foremost purveyor of entertainment content targeting African American consumers has elected when it will release its fourth quarter 2024 earnings report.
What can investors expect to hear from CEO Alfred Liggins III?
They’ll find out on March 27, when Urban One will host an earnings call scheduled for 10am Eastern.
It’s been a quiet period for Urban One, which of late has had aspirations to become the owner of a casino gaming facility in Richmond — or, at least in a municipality close to Virginia’s state capital. With that project shrouded in uncertainty of ever getting to the finish line, Liggins will likely discuss whether or not those pesky “headwinds” will again impact advertising at Urban One’s radio stations and two cable TV outlets.
Will analysts dial-in to participate? None cover Urban One at this time, and no questions were asked during a live question-and-answer period during the company’s third quarter earnings call.
As of the end of 2024, Zazove Associates LLC held the most equity interest in Urban One among those institutional investors with holdings in the company, at 5.64%. That was followed by Bank of America Corp., at 3.22%, and The Vanguard Group, at 3.02%.
