Reps. Frank Pallone and Mike Doyle, two leading House Democrats, on Wednesday asked the Government Accounting Office (GAO) to review “the effect local broadcaster agreements have on the FCC’s public interest goals of supporting competition, localism, and diversity.”

Of utmost concern are shared services agreements allowing one company to produce newscasts airing on another company’s station. Sinclair Broadcast Group was noted.
