She’s known across the radio industry for her programming roles at such stations as WRKS “98.7 Kiss FM” in New York and WPOW “Power 96” in Miami and most recently served as Director of Operations for Cox Media Group‘s South Florida radio properties.

Now, Jill Strada is settling in to a new role with a group of Atlanta radio stations.

Strada has been appointed SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia‘s Atlanta stations, comprised of Country WUBL-FM “94.9 The Bull,” Hip-Hop WRDG-FM “96.1 The Beat,” Top 40 WWPW-FM “Power 105.3,” Spanish Contemporary WBZY-FM “Z105.7,” Regional Mexican WBZW-FM “El Patron 96.7,” and BIN: Black Information Network affiliate WBIN-AM.

Strada reports to Spencer Bynes, Market President for iHeartMedia Atlanta. He shared, “Jill has a remarkable talent for launching, developing, and elevating brands in fiercely competitive markets.  Her proven track record of success and unwavering dedication to excellence make her an outstanding addition to our leadership team.”

Strada’s resume includes roles as Assistant Program Director for WBQT-FM in Boston, and as Assistant Program Director for WHQT in New York. She began her career at Cox Media Group in Orlando.

Strada said, “I am absolutely delighted to join iHeartMedia/Atlanta … This is a company where innovation meets passion, and I’m eager to contribute to the growth of our brands, collaborate with such a brilliant group of people, and to lead such a talented team. Being part of America’s top audio company is an honor, and I’m excited about the incredible journey ahead.”

Strada’s initial journey will involve bringing larger audiences to a group of stations that has struggled as of late against her former employer, Cox Media Group. In the August 2024 Nielsen Audio ratings, WUBL was the highest-rated iHeartMedia property in Atlanta — ranked No. 14 overall.
