Spadafore To Direct Revenue For Scripps Sports

For the past seven years, he has served as a regional vice president at Comcast Advertising’s Effectv/Comcast Spotlight, overseeing all sales operations for TV and streaming for the Midwest region.


As of Monday (1/22), he is now Senior Director of Revenue for Scripps Sports.

Taking the role is Jim Spadafore, who reports to Tony Lamerato, Scripps Sports’ VP of Revenue and Sponsorships. “Jim is a difference-maker,” Lamerato said. “His strategic thinking, collaborative leadership and execution excellence will be tremendous assets to Scripps Sports and our clients.”

Spadafore will be the point of contact for Scripps’ local stations with Scripps Sports assets and serve as sales lead for the Las Vegas Golden Knights, Arizona Coyotes and the Big Sky Conference, as well as for new deals signed in 2024 and in the future.

At Comcast Advertising, Spadafore’s first role was as sports sales manager, responsible for operationalizing sports programming and implementing strategies and tactics across markets and sales teams to monetize their sports inventory.

Spadafore, an American University alum who played men’s collegiate basketball for the Washington, D.C. school from 1995-1998, began his career as an intern with the Detroit tigers. He rose through the organization to become Director of Corporate Sales.
