WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Copyright Royalty Judges have received a notice of intent from SoundExchange to audit three years of statements submitted by Salem Media Group as it pertains to royalty payments it made, under the terms of two statutory licenses it holds.

SoundExchange wants a closer look at the 2021, 2022, and 2023 statements of account submitted by Salem.

That notice was filed by SoundExchange on August 8, leading the judges to publish it in the Federal Register. That transpired on Thursday, fulfilling SoundExchange’s obligation.

The matter is specifically linked to Salem’s audio streams, for which SoundExchange is authorized to collect royalty payments.
