For months, the Media and Democracy Project and former FOX and ABC executive Preston Padden have been trying to convince the FCC to strip FOX Television Stations of its license for WTXF “FOX 29” in Philadelphia on the grounds that it aired false and misleading news and commentary four years ago during the 2020 U.S. presidential campaign.
Now, former President Donald Trump has suggested ABC be stripped of its broadcast licenses for how its news team decided to handle Tuesday night’s debate between him and Vice President Kamala Harris.
The Chairwoman of the FCC offered a blunt response, negating any chance of that happening.
