Nexstar Gets A Retrans Consent Complaint From Hawaii

Of all of the Hawaiian Islands, O’ahu has the highest population. And, it is the one part of the 50th state where Hawaiian Telcom offers cable television services.

While Charter Communications’ Spectrum is the major MVPD across the state, Hawaiian Telcom remains a key player in locales ranging from Hale’iwa Beach on the north shore to neighborhoods in the shadow of Diamondhead.

For those customers, programming from FOX, MyNetwork TV and The CW Network isn’t available. It’s thanks to the second retransmission consent dispute this week to involve the nation’s No. 1 owner of broadcast TV stations — Nexstar Media Group.
