New To Radio, Meet Chuck Deskins’ Successor at iHeartMedia

“As one chapter closes, I want to express my immense gratitude and complete honor for having worked with the incredible team at Miradore,” Angela Reed shared on LinkedIn over the weekend, noting that she’d be leaving the operation as Chief Sales Officer and concluding just over two years at the company.


We now know where Reed is heading — the nation’s largest audio content creation and distribution company.

Reed is now Sr. VP for the Inside Sales Division at iHeartMedia and began her new role on Monday (8/12).

This puts her over a team of 100 full-time employees and some 75 account executives marketing iHeartMedia broadcast, events, digital and podcast products to potential and returning advertisers across the U.S.

Reed reports to Julie Donohue, President of Multimarket Partnerships for iHeartMedia.

Chuck Deskins, who has held the role for some 32 years, formally retired at the end of 2023; he had a role in helping Donohue and her team “find the perfect fit for this role.”

“We’re thrilled to welcome Angela and her extensive experience to iHeartMedia,” Donohue said. “We know she’ll make an immediate positive impact as SVP of our Inside Sales Division, a key role in keeping our company thriving and broadening our reach even further.”

Reed has also served as VP of Consumer Success at KnowBe4, which describes itself as “the world’s largest integrated platform for security awareness training combined with simulated phishing attacks.”

Before that, Reed was Chief Revenue Officer role at Time Doctor.

She has no prior experience in the radio industry.
