SoldA company that owned and operated four radio stations in southeast Kansas now has deals in hand to sell them all, to three separate buyers. It will, however, continue to have ties to all of them.

The company is Southeast Kansas Independent Living Resource Center Inc., headed by President/CEO Shari Coatney.

It earlier announced a $15,000 deal to sell KSEK-AM to Triple T Plus Two Inc.

Next up is the sale of KLKC AM and FM, licensed to Parsons KS.

The buyer is Parsons Media Group LLC, owned 50-50 by Wayne Gilmore and Greg Chalker.

The price is $30,000 cash. Seller will also be entitled to air five 0:30 ads daily on the FM for a period of two years.

Additionally, the stations are leasing studio space under an agreement that expires 12/31/15. Once the parties enter into a management agreement, the buyer will cover $700 per month of that expense with seller remaining responsible for the rest.

KLKC-AM is a Class D on 1540 kHz with 250 W-D, 1 W-N, ND.

KLKC-FM is a Class A on 93.5 MHz with 3 kW @ 266’.

The stations serve unrated territory west of Joplin MO.

The final sale is KSEK-FM Girard KS.

The buyer is Mike and Jessica Nugent.

The price is $80,000, comprised of a $60,000 cash and $20,000 worth of advertising on the station over the course of two years. The buyer will also lease studio space from the seller for $675/month.

KSEK-FM is a Class A on 99.1 MHz with 6 kW @ 325’. The station serves unrated territory northwest of Joplin MO, reaching that community with its outermost contour.
