It was one year ago when Spencer Brown and his Gemini XIII enterprise assumed the ownership of United Stations, known for years as “USRN.” Now the radio programming services company offering syndicated fare to radio has promoted from within to fill the role of President.

Taking the position is Stefan Jones, who rises from the Head Of Network role at USRN.

With his promotion, Jones now oversee all aspects of USRN’s operations, including programming, services, affiliate relations, and affiliate sales.

Jones will also be called on to develop what Gemini XIII calls “innovative strategies that enhance the network’s offerings and drive value for its affiliates and partners.”

“We are incredibly excited to elevate Stefan Jones to this position,” Gemini XIII CEO Brown said in prepared comments. “His expertise, passion, and approach align perfectly with our mission to deliver exceptional audio content and services.”

Jones’ career includes 8 years in affiliate sales for the former Dial Global, from June 1995 through July 2003. For the next 11 1/2 years, he served as CEO and was a founding partner of Nineball Radio Networks, which created and managed services and programs for terrestrial radio stations.

Jones said, “I am honored to continue my work in expanding United Stations portfolio of high-quality programming and services at such a pivotal time in the industry. USRN has a rich history and I look forward to working to build upon its legacy and exploring new opportunities for growth and innovation.”

Former EVP Charlie Colombo, who held an equity stake in USRN along with Dick Clark’s widow and Verbitsky, has not been involved with United Stations since July 2023.
