His resume includes 10 years as a supervising producer covering investigations, breaking news and special events for CNN and, most recently, a position in the CBS Network News Special Events Unit as a producer for the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

Now, he’s VP of News Content and Streaming for Fox Television Stations’ two Chicago broadcast properties.

Taking the position is Glen Dacy, and he starts at WFLD-32, the market’s FOX affiliate, and MyNetwork TV sibling WPWR-50 in Chicago on September 9.

Reporting to the station’s SVP/General Manager Sheila Oliver, Dacy will oversee all the editorial, business, and administration functions for the duopoly’s news and media content creation across multiple platforms, reporting directly to Oliver.

In making the announcement, Oliver shared, “With decades of Chicago news experience, Glen is the perfect person to lead our news team with a fresh approach and clear vision of what our audience is seeking.”

Dacy commented, “As a third generation Chicagoan, and a veteran of covering news from Chicago, I am proud to take the reins of the skilled team of journalists at FOX 32. This challenge comes at a fascinating time in our business, and I look forward to bringing the countless remarkable stories of our great city to life.”

Dacy’s earlier career experience includes roles as a producer for “Rock Center with Brian Williams” on NBC News. He’s also been at WFLD in the past, serving as a Senior Producer for its “Good Day Chicago” wakeup program.

Dacy has also worked at WMAQ-5 in Chicago, as well as at broadcast TV stations in Des Moines and Waterloo, Iowa, respectively.
