As 2023 began, broadcast television companies such as Nexstar Media Group, The E.W. Scripps Co., TEGNA and Sinclair Broadcast Group saw their CBS affiliates — and all other non-CBS News & Stations properties — dropped from “sports-first” vMVPD Fubo.
The reason: CBS through its parent Paramount Global handled the negotiations on behalf of its affiliates, all of which said no to the terms.
Now, the carriage dispute that spanned nearly all of the first quarter of 2023 is over.
