It's also home to a Class D AM with a FM translator offering Oldies programming, which officially has a new owner — some five years after the sale process began.

Salem Closes On A Central Fla. Spin

On Nov. 6, 2019, Salem Media Group made two revelations. First, the company focused on Christian-themed and conservative talk radio programming said it had to delay the release of its Q3 2019 earnings. Second, it said it was selling an AM radio station in a suburb of Orlando, Fla. Salem on Monday completed the sale of that Central Florida facility.

Hochman Set To Resurrect An Oahu AM

George Hochman is the sole owner of two FM stations in the Aloha State and the majority shareholder of five other radio stations in Hawaii. A sixth station is 25% owned by Hochman, with noted Los Angeles air personality William Poorman another 25% owner. Now, Hochman is set to become the 100% owner of a silent AM serving the Honolulu market.

A Chattanooga TV Property’s ‘Voluntary’ Move

A Class A digital TV station licensed to Cleveland -- Tennessee, not Ohio -- with the ability to reach viewers in nearby Chattanooga is being sold. The deal, reached April 2, formally marks the end of Heartland programming, with a change to religious offerings on the way.

A New Path For A Former Minnesota Gospel Source

The Highlands County, Fla., city of Avon Park is home to an FM translator which serves as a "revitalization" igniter for a Class D AM in this small town. Using the FM translator as its main point of entry for consumers, the stations have been branded as "Kiss 107.5," and have aired a hip-hop format. Now, new ownership is on the way.

Nunley Adds A Second FM In Volunteer State

In Southwest Middle Tennessee, there's a Class A FM offering Country programming to such communities as Centerville. Not too far to the west is another Class A FM, offering "Real Country Variety" to listeners. Thanks to a just-finalized deal that promise of variety could now be available to Centerville-area consumers.
