Quu Inc., a tech company working to bring dynamic visuals to radio broadcasts, is welcoming a head of marketing and a Product Manager to its executive leadership team. The two individuals are radio industry veterans, and both report to Quu CEO Steve Newberry.

A former SpotX Regional Director has joined Townsquare Media to serve as Market President/Chief Revenue Officer for its Texarkana local media cluster. 

He was the Group VP of Business Development at Xandr, the advertising and analytics division of AT&T. Now, he's the head of strategy and business development at advertising data, measurement and analytics software company EDO Inc.

Since 2016, he's been a consultant to leaders on fundraising and sponsorship strategies. Now, a 22-year WAY Media veteran who exited in 2015 is back in radio. And, he's ready to go to battle against an insurgent in the National Capital Region: Educational Media Foundation.

One has been promoted. The other is returning to the fold. Put them together, and they'll be the latest Affiliate Sales leaders for Cumulus Media-owned Westwood One.

Stephanie McNamara Bitis on Friday was sentenced to 15 months in a federal prison facility and has been ordered to pay $302,585.01 in restitution for using a credit card associated with her former role at Long Island Radio Broadcasting in order to pay for various personal expenses. They include expenses tied to a boat and for a trip to the Caribbean.

Last week, veteran conservative Talk radio host Larry Elder revealed that he seeks to become a Republican candidate for California governor. He is not on the preliminary list of 41 candidates, however. Sacramento has a reason. Elder isn't buying it, and has sued California's office of the secretary of state.

The national news program from Sinclair Broadcast Group has announced who will be seated in the anchor chairs come September 27 for its late newscasts. One individual is returning to Sinclair to become a co-anchor. The other is a Sunshine State veteran who left broadcast TV in March 2018.

Sinclair Broadcast Group has created a position that will see an individual lead the company's information security program across all business functions, charged with creating and executing Sinclair's security vision, strategy and operating model across its entire portfolio.

The new directors were voted in during the recent Foundation’s Board of Directors’ meeting, which was held virtually. “We are delighted to welcome Patrick and Hilton to our Board,” said Scott Herman, Chairman of the Broadcasters Foundation of America.

The Museum of Broadcast Communications has revealed the selection of the Radio Hall of Fame 2021 nominees, comprised of 24 people and shows in six categories. The nominees were chosen by the Radio Hall of Fame Nominating Committee, with input from the radio industry and listeners.
